A few weeks ago, after 9 months of planning, the ART Party of the Year took place at the New Britain Museum of American Art. 450 guests were ushered into the gem of a location and served dinner in the Museum galleries. The Museum was transformed into a white, airy, modern yet clean space that complimented the art on the walls. Our inspiration came from the Museum’s 110 year anniversary and the spring season. We set out to celebrate the Museum’s rich history as well as its future and created spaces that complimented the art yet made a statement. On the second floor, where a Toulouse Lautrec exhibit was housed, we created a completely different setting that complimented the art in those galleries. The budget was minimal but the results were magnificent.
